Solo Bushcraft | Building Survival Shelter, Inside Fireplace, Camping in Thunderstorm
This Bushcraft Shelter is made of survival matreial: wood, moss, stones, cow skins, tendon cord. I built it inspired by the native american pit shelters, with a gap on top as a natural chimney. Around it is still enough protected space for cooking, sleeping and storing firewood. Enjoy watching!

Building alpine Bushcraft Shelter | Survival materials, shingle roof, stone wall [Pt. 1]
Просмотров 2,2 млнГод назад
Rocks and deadwood are basically all that is needed to build a protective shelter in the wild. I found this rubble on a mountain, which provided the suitable material for the walls. The whole construction is free of synthetic material. The nails and dowels are also made of wood. The roof is mostly waterproof, altough the shingles are a bit twisted due to a light vortex grwoth of the tree I used...
Solo Winter Bushcraft | Heavy Snowfall | Shelter building & Overnight at the Campfire
Просмотров 1,5 млн2 года назад
In this short bushcraft trip I used the setting of the onset of winter to build a survival shelter for overnight stays on the edge of a torrent. Spruce branches are ideal for quick protection against snow and cold. Temperatures were more or less around freezing. The site is about 1800 meters above sea level. I built the sleeping place and the shelter within 2 afternoons, until I finally had tim...
Building of a Bushcraft Shelter in the Mountains - overnight - cooking on fire
Просмотров 160 тыс.2 года назад
During this trip I built a bushcraft shelter in the Dolomites. The logs should turn it into a permanent shelter. Only the moss on the roof and the spruce branches, which serve to protect against wind and rain, need to be replaced from time to time. As the crowning of the final day, I grilled the rib of a beef on an open fire :-) The roof can withstand light rain with ease. It can only be slight...
Bushcraft & Camping at the Hut - building Table and Bench, Campfire Cooking, Overnight
Просмотров 125 тыс.3 года назад
I am expanding the camping area around the hut. After the massive snowfall in December and January, there is no lack of building material around, as you can see, so there's still a lot to be done here, as for example a fence for protection from the wind. Suggestions are always welcome, just write a comment. Enjoy! Take a look at my merch tools from Cut360 made in Stubai, Austria: Axes: lmy.de/Q...
Building a Bushcraft Hut (Part 4) Workbench - Door made of logs - Campfire
Просмотров 130 тыс.3 года назад
I built a bushcraft hut on a breathtaking terrain in the alpine mountains. In this part I have equipped the hut with a door, using small logs and wooden nails. The workbench will be used for further constructions as well. I don't use synthetic materials. Only handtools and deadwood or fallen trees. Now it is time to expand the camping area around the hut:-) Enjoy! Here you can see the entire co...
Building a Bushcraft Hut (Part 3) Rope Mattress, Campfire, Moss for the Walls
Просмотров 142 тыс.3 года назад
In this part I filled the gaps in the elongated walls with moss and made a place to sleep out of hemp rope and wood. It's not difficult to overnight comfortably in the wild, without plastic mats. The technique of braiding is actually intended for fishing nets. You could also make a hammock out of it. In the 4th part I will build the door and a larger fireplace with a bench. Thank you very much ...
Bushcraft Target and Traditional Archery
Просмотров 11 тыс.3 года назад
A small video on building a bushcraft target from spruce branches. Dry grass or straw would be the better choice, of course, but neither the one nor the other is available in this season and region. That's why I decided to use a material that is available all year round in the alpine and northern areas. I took the opportunity to show the mountains around me more closely. The archery location is...
Building a Bushcraft Hut on Epic Alpine Terrain (Part 2)
Просмотров 352 тыс.3 года назад
After having found this mystic place on a rocky hill, between two small rivers, I decided to build a bushcraft hut here. Now I am happy to present the first result:) I tried to shape the construction as harmonious as possible with the terrain around and the 4 trees that form the foundation for everything, from the floor to the roof, without damaging them. No synthetic material. Only handtools a...
Building a Bushcraft Hut on Epic Alpine Terrain (Part 1)
Просмотров 631 тыс.3 года назад
I am building a permanent bushcraft hut on a spectacular rocky hill, between two small rivers. All the trees I use are dead or broken by the heavy snowmasses fallen in November 2019. I am using hemp rope to stabilize the floor and the first two walls and a few steel nails for the construction around the door, without damaging the alive trees, of course. Only handtools. No synthetic material. Lo...

Nice build. A lot of detail. However, I would have built it more out of the path of the next slide. Either stone or snow. Past slides are quite evident.

It was really impressive watching this whole laborious process and the creative techniques employed in creating such a sturdy structure. It did give me pause considering the placement of a shelter on a hillside location where so many large stones and boulders have come to rest.

If you go into the forest owned by the federal government and cut down a bunch of trees and get caught by the ranger you will go to jail quickly

I'm thinking the placement of the structure should've been given more consideration. He's one avalanche or rockslide away from catastrophe.
